In recent months, LangLion Platform has introduced a number of changes. Some of these are major features that impact the entire school management process, while others are smaller improvements that might seem like minor details at first glance, but can save a significant amount of time in daily operations.
Course filtering in online enrollments
Online enrollments are one of those features that especially support schools during periods of increased interest in their offerings. That’s why the latest updates include two important enhancements, such as course filtering.
Now, a student who wants to enroll in classes can more easily filter the prepared offerings by course. This is particularly useful when a school offers many groups, levels, languages, or types of classes.
For the student, it means a shorter path to the right offer. For the school, it means a greater chance that an interested person won’t get lost along the way and will proceed to enroll more quickly.
This is crucial because the enrollment process should be as simple as possible. The fewer ambiguities for the student, the lower the risk of an abandoned form, incorrect group selection, or additional questions to the front office.
Bulk operations in online enrollments
The second change in online enrollments is bulk operations. With online enrollments, you can work with multiple orders simultaneously, such as changing their status or removing incorrect registrations. In the daily operation of a school, this is a great convenience, especially during the enrollment period when the number of applications quickly increases.
Instead of handling each order individually, you can select the desired items and perform one operation for the entire group. In a broader sense, bulk operations are a direction that will become increasingly visible in LangLion.
Wherever a user performs repetitive actions on multiple records, there naturally arises the need for batch processing.
Payment step in continuations
The end of the school year and the preparation for the next season is one of the most intense moments of the year for many language schools.
That’s precisely why the payment step has been introduced in the continuation module, allowing the student not only to declare their intention to continue learning but also to immediately make the first payment.
This is a very important organizational change. The declaration itself can be helpful, but it is often the payment that truly confirms the decision of the student or parent. This allows the school to quickly assess interest in continuation and better plan groups for the next school year. In practice, this means less uncertainty.
The school can see who has actually confirmed their spot, and the student undergoes a more complete and organized process in one place – it’s also here where they sign the agreement.
This is important because it eliminates information dispersion and the risk of misunderstandings: all key steps (enrollment confirmation, acceptance of terms, formalization of cooperation) happen in one cohesive process.
As a result, the school has legal and organizational clarity, and the student knows exactly what they are signing up for. This reduces the number of errors, accelerates service, and builds a greater sense of professionalism and trust on both sides.
Easier assignment of students
This is another change pertaining to the assignment of students to groups. When adding a student, you can choose which list they should be placed on, for instance, the list of those enrolled or those offered.
This is particularly useful when working with a larger number of people. Instead of manually moving students between lists, you can more quickly assign them to the appropriate stage of the process.
As a result, the process of continuing education becomes more organized, and the school administration can more efficiently prepare offers for the upcoming school year.
Handwritten-like signature on the contract
A signature resembling a handwritten one can appear on a generated PDF contract. This, of course, does not mean that the student physically signs the document with a pen.
It refers to the visual representation of the signer’s name in a more natural form.
This detail might seem minor, but it affects the perception of the document. The contract looks more professional and gives a greater sense of process completeness.
Identification data on the contract
Far more important than the appearance of the signature are the identification data related to signing the contract. The document can include information such as IP address, browser, or operating system.
These are data that help confirm the circumstances of signing the document and strengthen the formal order of the entire process.
For the school, this means greater transparency and easier access to information related to contract signing.
Document filtering
Filtering has been introduced in documents, making it easier to find specific files. This is particularly important when there are a large number of contracts, attachments, and organizational documents.
Instead of scrolling through a long list, administrative staff can quickly narrow down results and access the appropriate document.
New file size limit: 2 GB
It’s also worth mentioning the new file size limit, which is now 2 GB.
This is good news for schools that store larger materials, recordings, multimedia files, documents, or resources used in working with students and instructors.
Automatic saving of class details
Previously, instructors could fill in class details but had to remember to click the save button. Now, this process has been simplified, and details are saved automatically.
It’s a small change in the interface but a significant one in daily work. Instructors no longer have to wonder if they saved the topic, description, note, or other information. The system saves data during work.
Notification for instructors about group guidelines
Another improvement is the notification for instructors about group guidelines. This ensures that the most important information regarding the management of a particular group is more visible at the right moment.
This is especially useful when many instructors work at the school, groups have different arrangements, and some classes are taught as substitutes. Well-documented guidelines help maintain the consistency of a school’s operations and reduce the risk of important information being overlooked.
Emojis in mailings and updates
At LangLion, we’ve enhanced the use of emojis. From now on, you can use them in mailings and updates. Although it might seem minor, it practically allows for greater flexibility in crafting messages.
Of course, it’s important to use them sparingly. They work best when they help organize content, strengthen the message, or aid in quickly conveying the nature of the message.
Teaching period in progress reports
Progress reports can now be generated for a specific date range. This means that a school can prepare a report covering a selected teaching period, rather than necessarily the entire available data range.
This is a very practical solution, especially when a school wants to prepare a report for:
- a semester,
- a trimester,
- a month,
- after completing a specific course stage,
- before a parent-teacher meeting,
- after a trial period,
- after completing an intensive course.
This way, the report can be more precise and better tailored to the purpose for which it is generated.
Larger font in progress reports
The second change is a larger font in progress reports. As a result, the report might be slightly longer, but it will also be more readable.
This is important because the report is not just a document to „check off.” It needs to be understandable to the recipient.
If a parent or student needs to quickly see the most important information, readability is of great significance.
API V4
API V4 is a particularly important change for schools that use integrations, automation, and external systems.
Not every school will implement its own technological solutions, but for larger organizations or schools working within a complex ecosystem of tools, API is a very crucial element.
The new version of the API includes, among other things:
- additional roles and permissions,
- not only data reading but also data writing,
- modern REST API,
- pagination,
- sorting,
- filtering,
- greater scalability,
- greater predictability,
- easier integration with external systems.
In practice, this means greater possibilities of connecting LangLion with other tools that the school uses in its daily operations.
